UBC officials say the gift will help fund a variety of initiatives, including a legal advice program for low-income individuals, faculty recruitment and retention, and the Allard Prize for International Integrity, which recognizes individuals who fight against corruption (Zauli-Fellows, Globe and Mail, 1/22; Mulgrew, Vancouver Sun, 1/22).
