University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) business dean Donde Plowman has been promoted to UNL's executive vice chancellor, a newly created role at the university.

Plowman's new position carries more responsibility than the former role of senior vice chancellor for academic affairs. One of her responsibilities will be to oversee the Office of Research and the Office of Student Affairs.

Plowman served as UNL's business dean for the past six years prior to her promotion (Ruggles, Omaha World-Herald, 12/15).
