Bite-sized higher ed news from a campus near you

Launched this fall, the BOLD Center at Rutgers University's Douglass Residential College is helping female students prepare for successful careers and learn to manage challenges along the way.

The BOLD Center, which stands for Building Opportunities for Leadership and Development, offers:

  • Cover and resume writing help;
  • A leadership retreat;
  • Morning "coffee and chat" sessions;
  • Wellness programs; and
  • Workshops.

"I think still today in 2016 women face multiple challenges both personally and professionally and what the BOLD Center strives to do is help students define and achieve their goals and aspirations," says Margot Baruch, associate director of the BOLD Center (Alexander, Rutgers TODAY, 12/15).
