Today’s donors want to couple their financial contributions with commitments of time and talent, but traditional volunteer roles are outdated and unengaging for the participant and too staff-intensive for the institution. The Advancement Forum presented a research study during our 2015 summer and fall meeting series entitled “The New Rules of Engagement” that outlines this paradigm shift and equips member institutions with new models of scalable and creative volunteer deployment.

This webconference explores a common volunteer structure—campaign steering committees—and profiles innovative models that other universities have put in place to revitalize them and to attract high-level donors and volunteers.
