Summary

Constantly evolving research compliance and regulatory reporting requirements are placing increasing burden on institutions’ research enterprises, prompting some administrators to reorganize administrative research support to better assist faculty pursuing research dollars. This brief profiles central research support structures at six large research universities, highlighting recent changes made in response to compliance and training demands.
