Fewer high school graduates and an increase in students studying out of state are making it difficult for many institutions, particularly in the Midwest and Northeast, to maintain their current enrollment levels.

While enrollments are expected to grow modestly over the next decade, the years of prodigious year-over-year growth are over for many campuses.
