Summary

Foundations for two-year institutions must adopt fundraising strategies different from the traditional approaches taken at four-year institutions. Contacts at two-year institutions identify several tenets of successful fundraising, including prioritizing non-alumni donors, utilizing informal networking, emphasizing the institution's importance to community vitality, and leveraging high-value donors. Fundraising challenges, such as small staff size and lack of alumni giving, are also addressed in this report.
