As the pressure mounts to be first-to-market with distinctive programs, many COE leaders label new program development as highly reactive—often based more on faculty curricular interests than regional workforce needs. Meanwhile, existing programs remain untouched as leaders direct their time, money, and staff to new program creation.

The labor market demand profiles for each state includes the fastest growing job titles and skills as well as employers with the largest increases in hiring needs between 2014 and 2015. The profiles have been designed to inspire ideas for new programs and highlight potential audiences, curricular components, and industry partners for existing programs. Through our exclusive partnership with Burning Glass Labor/Insight™, an industry leader in human capital analytics, the Forum obtained real time data from over 100 million unique job postings to develop the profiles.
