Summary

This report describes travel policies at five commuter universities. It investigates each institution’s policy on trip leaders, pre-trip preparation, on-campus administrative staff, and funding models, and it concludes with a discussion of policy variations based on the reason for travel, the funding status of the trip, and the distance that students travel.
