Move beyond the initial transition to campus
Most of the work that has been done to support first-generation college students focuses on their initial transition to campus and, ultimately, college completion. However, to be truly successful in serving first-generation college students, institutions must ensure their students are prepared to live meaningful lives and do meaningful work after they leave campus.
